Ladies Night Out
Not to be confused with "some 'laahdaahs' going to lunch", tonight I went out with Jessica and Andrea (Travis and Dans' wives respectively)
The guys had to be DDs for graduation tonight, sort of like how the baby class had to be DDs at assignment night for UPT (Undergraduate Pilot Training--what he did at Sheppard. It's also called ENJJPT-said 'enjept'-because it was a 'special program' at Sheppard, but it was still UPT. . . just an FYI) So they all probably won't be back until late tonight.
We went out to dinner at a place called The Yard House. It was ok, a little too expensive I thought for what they offered (and everything had bok choy in it, which I'm not going to lie, I'm STILL not quite sure what it is) but my dish was pretty good. And the waitress was excellent on the water refills, which I enjoy. Plus it was nice to sit and get to know them and their husbands a little better. (Apparently, Tyler's the only one whose driving has been subdued since flying jets--mainly due to my motion sickness and complaints).
Then we went to see "the Game Plan" with, YOU GUESSED IT!!
Dwayne "THE ROCK" Johnson!!!!
I LOVE THE ROCK!!!! He's SO FABULOUS!!! And thanks to Leslie for telling me about the kid kraddick interview he had awhile ago! I also watched a "Good Morning America" interview with him. . . .so fabulous.
And GUESS what THE ROCK does in this movie!?!?
HE SINGS "ARE YOU LONESOME TONIGHT" BY ELVIS PRESLEY WHILE HE PLAYS THE GUITAR!!!!!!!!!!!
Its probably a good thing Tyler wasn't there. For a few reasons (namely I was crying for the last 45 minutes, I kept grinning when The Rock would do something "Elvis-ey" and I was laughing loudly the whole time) but really just because I would have probably kept hitting him in the shoulder saying "Why don't you sing ME Elvis?" or "LOOK! he's doing ballet for his daughter!" or "I love The Rock!"
Granted it was predictable, but who cares? It was supposed to be simple. I even made a concession for the 'championship football game' that was supposed to be the match up of the century but The Rock was having the worst game of his life, but he came back with 1:03 on the clock in the last quarter. . . . but they were only one touchdown from winning. (Must not have been much of a match up to begin with if they could play for the entire second half with their back-up QB who hadn't played a game all season and still only be one TD behind) But Bygones! It was Disney!
So, that was my evening. Here are some pictures of Mr. The Rock for your viewing pleasure : )
Doom, signing autographs, 'The Rundown' poster, and some scene from "the Scorpion King', which I have acutally yet to see.
