Mom 'fixes' the Couch

If you can't fix it with Duct tape it ain't worth fixin'!
These photos are merely for proof becuase I don't think people believe me when I say my mom 'fixed a tear in our old leather couch by putting duct tape over it'.

It was time for a patch so I decided to document.

I'm sure she's thrilled : ) I"m still laughing ; )

A Japanese Camp Bow Wow?

Perhaps, my friends, perhaps!!

Conveniently located in the basement of the Narita Airport as well! What won't the Japanese think of next? I love it.

I'm so ready to be there.

The Price is Right! So Come on Down . . .

to Burbank at 6am and wait around until 11am then wait around until noon to see a taping of The Price is Right which you were NOT called to be a contestant on.

But thats ok. It was still awesome even though it wasn't Bob Barker and even though the one dude was a MORON when I kept yelling at him to choose the dog food. Did he? No, so he lost $10,000.

WHY wasn't I chosen!?!? : ( It's probably becuase I messed up making my shirt and accidentally ironed my picture to the paper backing instead of the acutal shirt. The instructions were TOTALLY LAME!!l so I had to use the 'light colored' iron on paper which didn't 'pop' like I wanted it too.

Thats ok, I still had fun with Lisa and the Moffats. Many thanks to Josh and Aubrey for the tickets!

Thanks also to Julia and Mom for watching the kids for us! Clara wouldn't take a bottle at all, so I pumped a bunch of breastmilk for no reason. then when I got home she ate and ate and ate and then threw it all up. Awesome. Good thing I happened to have been holding her over the toiled for that one!

Yeah, I also forgot one part of hte pump so I had to keep running to the bathroom every 2 hours while waiting to get into the taping! Hahahaha, it was still fun though!

PS. If anyone wants to see me shout "Dog food!" at hte guy who lost $10,000, the show will air November 12th. Check your local listings for the exact time of the Price is Right. The fantastic one hour game show with fabulous prizes and stacks of cash (that I didn't get)!!!!

Westlake Lake

Yesterday I saw my friend Dana. She was in town and her parents invited Clara and I on a boat ride. It was terribly relaxing just cruising along the lake. Mr. and Mrs. Blindbury had a nice variety of foods to snack on as well, veggie tray, grapes, waters, etc. And it was nice to catch up with Dana and meet Ryan.

Mr. Blindbury (yes, I know his name is John, but I've known him since High school so he'll pretty much always be Mr. Blindbury just like Diane will always be Mrs. Blindbury) bought a child/infant life jacket. Not specifically for Clara, Dana said. They're getting more visitors with kids and grandkids so he thought he may as well buy one now. It was super cute even if it was al ittle big. I'm glad clara was allowed to be the first to try it on!

We reminisced about the time I swam across the lake on a bet that I oculdn't do it one Fourth of July. Apparenlty it cracks Mr. and Mr.s Blindbury up every time they think about it, but I had to really think about it before I even remebered doing it! I remeber the shore/edge being slimy with moss and I remeber only one guy got halfway. the other dind't even make it that far.

Ahh, but that was back before they patrolled the lake better for hooliganry like that on Holidays.

Clara got ahold of Mrs. Blindbury's sunglasses. she also dumped that plate full of grapes onto the floor. She's getting to be pretty quick at things like that.

She started to get a little annoyed at the jacket becuase it was just a little too long for her torso, but it wasn't until towards the end. Mr. Blindbury let me take it off her (shh! don't tell, as he's the Lake Management President now). I told him if Clara was in the water for any reason, I'd be in the water too.

All in all it was a beautiful day and a very nice boat ride. And I may not remeber swimming across the lake very well, but I remeber the day we burned Dana's dumb brown shoes! Ahhh, that house is awesome : )

Also, when you leave a comment.. you are tagging yourself..so re-post on your own blog so I know whose to go and comment on! :)

Woo hoo!! sotries about me! GO! : )

Handmade Blankets anyone?

Today I dropped off my Uncle Richard and then stopped by my Aunt Debbie's house to see my Grandma Kay. I then proceeded to somehow manage to get four blankets for clara and any future offspring I may bear whilst in Japan. It was awesome.

My cousin Breena came over with her little girl, Jaden. It was cute to see the cousins (2nd cousins? I think?) together, but clara was a little young to play with Jaden just yet. Jaden's turning one this next week.

It was nice to see them all again before I go. Its getting a little sad now that its getting closer and closer to departure. I super love the blankets though. So does clara. She only sleeps with a crocheted blanket. She cuddles and holds onto it. I've tried other blankts but no dice. SO I'm glad I've got plenty for her to get to sleep with now : ) (I know this picture is far from awesome of Clara and me, but its better than the other one. Plus Grandma Kaylooks good in this one, so I can always crop myself out ; )

My mom told my aunt debbie about EC, so I dind't really have to explain it. But when I took clara to the potty she came with me, so I was pretty nervous acuttally, that clara wouldn't go! Hahahaha! She did, and I think she pooped once, but it was funny. I said I thought she had to go, then as I walked to the bathroom with Aunt Debbie right behind me I thought "Oh great! What if she doesn't really ahve to go! Then Aunt debbie will think I"m a total crazy!"

Its ok though, I'm sure she wouldn't be the first person to think that : )

Wiggle Waggle Walk

I would like to encourage people to support my friend Suzanne and her husband Shane on their Wiggle Waggle Walk on the 27th.

To contribute to Suz and Shane's Wiggle Waggle Walk click here

They're walking for a great cause! Plus they might put Frankie on their t-shirt : )

ANyway, if you've got a few extra bucks, pitch 'em in!! Even though they like cats, they're not such bad people (i'm assuming. I've never met Shane, but she's a stand-up gal, so I think its safe to say he's ok too)

So go contribute! or walk yourself, or otherwise do something to contribute to a good cause--preferably something to do with puppies : )

American Baby Cover Photo Contest

Yes, I submitted 6 photos of Clara to the contest. Mainly because the grand prize is a trip to New York and I've never been to New York.. . . . . . . and also bragging rights for LIFE that my child was fabulous looking enough to model.

I would expect nothing less from the child of a beauty queen! HAhahahaaha!

No but really, I really want to go to New York.

The Park

I'm back posting this, so I'm not sure what all I did at the park. I think I acutally just took the dog for a walk down the greenbelt then back up blue mesa. Yeah, I think that's waht I did now that I htink about it.

But I wanted to put clara in her little matchy matchy green squared hat and shoes before she a) grows out of them or b) it gets too cold/cloudy for her to wear sandals and a sun hat.

It's little camo teddy bears. I bought them at the BX at Luke. I think she was born when I bought them, but I can't be certain of these things.

Robert Again!

I was able to see Robert again before he headed out on his cross country road trip. We went to Western Bagel this time! Yes!!! I had a wheat bagel toasted iwth cream cheese and an pizza bagel heated : ) It was, again, really nice to have someone hold the carseat and carry it even the little bit from the store to the table outside.

So what happened this time? A man passing by clearly though Clara was OUR child, and he was clearly having some fond memories of his own children flash back as he saw clara. Clara pooped in her diaper so we had to go across the way to a boutique maternity store becuase i was SURE they'd have a bathroom (which they did). After I cleaned up clara I handed her to Robert and went to flush ti diaper and the Boutique lady asked Robert waht his daughter's name was. HAhahaha!

I keep telling him he should have kids. He maintains he needs to find a girl first. I acutally think that's not a bad idea. But still, I think fatherhood would suit him well. I told him I'd lay off 'the pressure' though. I was glad he called me again and I was SUPER glad he chose western bagel! I hadn't had one in a LONG time!! : )

Not the greatest picture i know, he's squinting into the sun. Sorry.

HAHAHAHAhahaha, and this one just makes me laugh : )

Ro-bear!

Robert was in town this weekend! Well, he got off the boat yesterday so after church today we met at Barnes and Noble.

It was great to see him again, it's been about 3 years. And I didn't have much time to talk with him at my wedding becuase I was the bride and he was still broken : ( He's been all over the world lately. Alaska, antartica, sweeden adn the Fijords, south america (I use that term generally becuase he's been all over the continent).

He looks just the same, which is nice. And I'm glad he liked Clara :) It was so nice to have someone help with the carseat and all the gear. I feel like I've been here in CA wihtout Tyler for so long!

He showed me some of his amazing photos (which I still have yet to receive the website where I can go to buy some, becuase I've already got a few in mind I want) and he saw Clara pee in a bush. Hahahahaha!! Oh stop! It was just the promenade! And I saw tons of dogs there too, so don't tell me the DOGS we're doign their business in the bushes!

Anyway, its goign to be great having him visit in japan! (too bad clara's not looking at the camera. Some nice passer by in the parking lot asked if we wanted him to take our picture. I said yes.)
