Yesterday I saw my friend Dana. She was in town and her parents invited Clara and I on a boat ride. It was terribly relaxing just cruising along the lake. Mr. and Mrs. Blindbury had a nice variety of foods to snack on as well, veggie tray, grapes, waters, etc. And it was nice to catch up with Dana and meet Ryan.

Mr. Blindbury (yes, I know his name is John, but I've known him since High school so he'll pretty much always be Mr. Blindbury just like Diane will always be Mrs. Blindbury) bought a child/infant life jacket. Not specifically for Clara, Dana said. They're getting more visitors with kids and grandkids so he thought he may as well buy one now. It was super cute even if it was al ittle big. I'm glad clara was allowed to be the first to try it on!

We reminisced about the time I swam across the lake on a bet that I oculdn't do it one Fourth of July. Apparenlty it cracks Mr. and Mr.s Blindbury up every time they think about it, but I had to really think about it before I even remebered doing it! I remeber the shore/edge being slimy with moss and I remeber only one guy got halfway. the other dind't even make

it that far.
Ahh, but that was back before they patrolled the lake better for hooliganry like that on Holidays.
Clara got ahold of Mrs. Blindbury's sunglasses. she also dumped that plate full of grapes onto the floor. She's getting to be pretty quick at

things like that.
She started to get a little annoyed at the jacket becuase it was just a little too long for her torso, but it wasn't until towards the end. Mr. Blindbury let me take it off her (shh! don't tell, as he's the Lake Management President now). I told him if Clara was in the water for any reason, I'd be in the water too.

All in all it was a beautiful day and a very nice boat ride. And I may not remeber swimming across the lake very well, but I remeber the day we burned Dana's dumb brown shoes! Ahhh, that house is awesome : )
