Clara's Signs
I think she's up to about 30 now. Not all of them are perfect, but I can certainly tell what she's trying to tell me. Since Robert has been visiting, he's been able to understand her completely. SO that's fun. Here are her signs so far in no particular order.
Baby
All Done
Food
Hot (like her food is hot)

She also knows "eye" "nose" "feet" "hand" and "teeth" when she sees them in the book or on a stuffed animal or if I ask her where they are.
As far as verbal communication is concerend, we're not there yet : ) But she deosn't screech and she'll put words together like "more food" or "Up please" or "hear cat" and sometimes I'll encourage her and she'll use three in a row like "more food please" or something like that.
And stuff I don't give her signs for she still undetsands, like "soft" and "put it back". . . . not that she listens, but I know she understands! : )
She also likes ot push buttons. She pushes them n the toilet to start and stop the bidet, turn on and off the heater in the living room, and today she just walked up to the computer with an I Love Lucy DVD case in her hand and pointed to it. I said "Waht do you want?" and she pushed the DVD drive button, so I put on the Lucy DVD and she got all excited and started dancing to the theme! HAhahahaha!
